This diptych did not have a listed artist that I was/am aware of. This diptych shows a space and how its function changes quite drastically over a lapse of time. I think its interesting because we usually do not think of a sink as being a very significant part of our lives but this piece induces thoughts on what purposes simple everyday things can be. We use sinks to wash our hands and dishes; two vital activities in keeping our bodies healthy. And, when we are infants, the sink can be a place to wash our bodies as well. This piece discusses something everyday (a sink) and how its function can change from day to night as well as over a lifetime.
